I developed a measles vaccine awareness campaign for my Design of Interactive Learning Experiences course. I worked with my classmates, Jamie Hefley and Ethan Gernerd, to create a 48-page pitch packet for a patient-facing website, “VxNation”. With measles cases on the rise, this campaign addresses vaccine hesitancy with reliable and easily accessible information designed to combat misinformation and protect communities.
The project integrated research, user-centered design, and visual communication to address misinformation and promote public health decision-making. Our group, ‘Immuniwise’ collaborated in our effort to research, wireframe, and user-test our product. We all contributed to the writing of the pitch packet.
I focused on both learning strategy and visual design execution. I defined main and enabling learning objectives, established personas, usability testing, and journey maps for hesitant and centrist customers. I also ensured our storyboard prototype was accessible and complied with WCAG 2.0 level AA WebAIM Contrast Checker guidelines. On the design side, I created the wireframes/greybox outline of the prototype, illustrated graphics, and created a pitch presentation template formatted with animations and transitions. I am also behind our logo and design elements.
