This poster illustrates how the G-helix functions as a conserved region of eukaryotic protein kinases across distinct cellular environments. Using three representative kinases: membrane-associated IGF1R, cytosolic MST2, and nuclear CHK2, I highlight how the G-helix mediates dimerization, and subsequently, downstream signaling. Despite their different locations and signaling contexts, these kinases rely on shared G-helix–mediated mechanisms to dimerize. To emphasize the range of environments, this illustration features an entire cell, modeled in Cinema4D and ZBrush, and three insets to match their locations.
